Hello I'm Jenna…
I am a passionate follower of Jesus and I have discovered I can use mixed media art journaling as a way of having a conversation with God. I love to share my process in the hope of inspiring others to have a go and experience this too.
I live in Stroud, Gloucestershire, UK.
I have always enjoyed arts and crafts, but it was around 2010 when I discovered the joys of mixed media. Freedom to paint, stick or throw anything on the page- colour, collage, textiles, leaves, coffee - and express how you really feel. The person I most wanted to express myself to was my loving heavenly Father- I want him to know my joys and sorrows, my dreams and my failures, so that he can love, heal and guide me. As I began to step out in expressing myself to God through my art, I discovered my creative times could be times of profound encounter, almost like a conversation with God, and I stepped into a new intimacy with him I had been unable to sustain through traditional worship.
Now it’s my hearts delight to share my process online through social media, my Youtube channel and through in person workshops at churches, schools and events. I love to see people of all ages and abilities channelling their creativity into worshipping their creator.
When I’m not making an arty mess I am raising two gorgeous daughters, chasing delicious foodie experiences with my beloved husband, caravanning around the Cornish coast or smelling the roses in my garden.
