An adventure into Art Journaling

Introduction

“Cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7.

We all get anxious sometimes and we know we should pray about it but sometimes we feel like a rabbit in the headlights… what should we do?

Supply list

I can’t state enough “use what you already have” - if you don’t have something on the list I’m sure you have an alternative you could substitute- no need to go buy more art supplies (as tempting as that sounds…)

Let’s Create!
Part 1

Let’s get stuck in with getting out all those big feels onto our paper- with a variety of mark making techniques with pencils, pens, paint and other tools.

Let’s Create!
Part 2

Now we have hopefully calmed ourselves a little, we move on to some written journaling, and use collage and paint to create a safe space on our page, symbolic of God’s grace and love.

Let’s Create!
Part 3

Now we are “in the flow” let’s listen to what God might be telling us and capture that on the page. Finally we will move on to adding some images and words that sum up what we feel God wants us to know.
