Ten Minutes Trusting

Ten Minutes Trusting

In my latest series on YouTube, I challenged myself to create a faith art journal page in just 10 minutes, trusting that in even this short amount of time I would be able to trust Father God to minister & speak to me. I hope this will inspire you that you don’t need a lot of time or skill to use christian art journaling to connect with God.

JOURNALING YOUR EMOTIONS

This page started off with a strong emotion: anger. By expressing big emotions on the page, we avoid expressing them in unhelpful ways. Instead, as Christians we can bring them to our loving heavenly father and receive his grace.

INCARNATION

“And the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” John 1:14

This page was my opportunity to ponder the mysteries of the incarnation.

El Roi: the God who sees me.

El Roi: the God who sees me.

EL ROI

So... God directed my eyes to this little phrase “they didn’t notice” on a vintage book page. It struck me that people are not so much looking for their pain to be fixed, as to be seen. An Egyptian slave girl, physically & sexually abused by her masters, runs away from home. Alone & pregnant, God meets her in the desert. He doesn’t fix her circumstances, (in fact he asks her to return to them) but she now knows her plight is not invisible. Someone knows, someone cares. God says “I see you”. And he sees you, today. (Genesis 16).
